Shirley Skinner Hooper Mooney

Shirley Skinner Hooper Mooney, 84, passed away on Sunday, June 7th. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on November 5th, 1935 in Philadelphia, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Myrtice & Henry Skinner. She graduated from Philadelphia High School. After a long and successful career, she retired from Hooper Electronics as the co-owner.

She is survived by her husband James Mooney, her children Randy (Mary) Hooper and Bentley Hooper; grandchildren Brooks Hooper, Olivia (John David) Reed, Daniel (Allyson) Hooper, Thaddeus (Annie) Hooper, and Henry (Grace Danish) Hooper; great-grandchildren, David Reed, Annie Reed and Charlie Hooper; and siblings, Sandra Kuykendall, Henry “Banks” Skinner, and Rudy Skinner.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Clarence P. Hooper.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 1pm at the Bethsaida Cemetery in Neshoba County. Reverend Bob Peden will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
