Sidney "Sid" Shirley

The family of Mr. Shirley will have a private memorial service.

Mr. Shirley, age 64, of Meridian, recently passed away. Sid began his career in the transportation industry in Savannah, Georgia for Builders Transport in 1976. Most recently, he was employed by McElroy Truck Lines of Cuba, Alabama.

He was an avid college football fan and a die-hard Crimson Tide supporter. Sid also enjoyed Atlanta Braves baseball and Nascar Racing.

Sid is a graduate of Western Carolina University.

Sid is survived by his mother, Margie Raybon Shirley of Palm Harbor, FL; his siblings, Michael (Carolyn) Shirley, Dianne (Ron) Rusnak, and Brad (Jody) Shirley; nephews, Barrett and Logan (Bethany) Rusnak.

He is preceded in death by his father, Brady M. Shirley, Jr.
