S.L. Wilson

Funeral services for Mr. S.L. Wilson, Jr. will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Frankie Boyette and Dr. Ralph Henson officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery in the Bonita community. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Wilson, age 71, of Meridian passed away September 21, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Wilson was a lifelong welder. He loved farming and giving away his vegetables to friends and family. He enjoyed working and making syrup. Mr. Wilson was the founder of Wilson Saw Shop and Wilson Welding.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Dot Wilson; children, Kevin L. Wilson and James P. Wilson; grandchildren, Dillon, Alexis, and Kimber Wilson; sisters, Dot White (Lynn) and Sue McLemore (Caroll); brother, Clarke Wilson, Sr. (Vicki); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, S.L. Wilson, Sr. and Ruth Grafton Wilson and two sisters, Joyce Wilson Bean and Lou Wilson Ross.

The family requests memorials be made to Mt. View Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Roberson, Delma Carlisle, Darren Graham, Caroll McLemore, Charles Harper, and Michael Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Gray, George Gray, Dennis Ray Thrash, Alvin Williams, and Steve Pickard.
