Elder Solomon Brogan, Jr. Funeral services for Solomon Brogan, Jr. will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Bishop Dennis Huggins officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Brogan, age 76, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Rush Hospital. He worked at Northfolk Southern Railroad and retired from the United States Post Office. Mr. Brogan served in the United States Air Force, Airborne Division, and was a member and Elder of True Vine Church for several years. Survivors include his sons, Dennis Moss and Frankie Moss, both of Los Angeles, CA; daughters, Shelia Powe (Fred), of Meridian, Tammy Drake, of Meridian, Toyer Walker (Ralph), of Meridian, Necole Drake, of Houston, TX, Cathy Brogan, of Meridian, Sharon Brogan, of Meridian, Lisa Goudy (Bennie), of Meridian, and Dietra Russell, of Cincinnati, OH; sister-in-law, Ethel Drake; brother-in-law, Larry Drake; Will Brogan; Annie Collins; twenty-three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Juanita Adams McClelland (Curtis). He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Brogan; mother, Annice Brogan; father, Solomon Brogran, Sr.; son, Michael Drake; Gary Drake; AC Adams; Eugene Dixon; and Jason Brogan. Pallbearers will be Fredrick Powe, Ralph Walker, Bennie Goudy, Milton, Greg, and Will Brogan. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
