SERVICES FOR MR. STEVE HARDIN HAVE BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO FAMILY MEDICAL EMERGENCY. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR UPDATED SERVICE TIMES.
Mr. Hardin, 66, of Meridian, of Meridian, died Sunday, April 12, 2026, at his home.
Steve was a Christian first and foremost. His relationship with Jesus was well known by all who knew him. He attended 3S Cowboy Church regularly and found fellowship there. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, caring for his yard, and gardening. He retired in 2023 from McDonald and Hill Propane as Delivery Driver and Salesman where he completed his career after over 45 years of service. He was dedicated and loyal to all his customers whom he loved visiting. His most favorite title was “Papaw” and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Mr. Hardin is survived by his wife, Sandra Hardin; children, Joey Hardin (Maranda), Thomas Hardin, and Laura Goss (Caleb); grandchildren, Cloey Hardin, Tucker Hardin, and Andy Goss; his sister, Tina Smith (Keith); his nephews, Josh Smith and Travis Smith (Brittany); as well as a host of numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.
Steve is preceded in death by his daughter, Candi Hardin; his parents, Joe and Laine Hardin; and his father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Gloria Herrington.
Pallbearers will be Joey Hardin, Thomas Hardin, Caleb Goss, Travis Smith, Tucker Hardin, and Keith Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Watkins, and his second family, the employees of McDonald and Hill Propane.
The Hardin Family will suggests memorials be made as donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
