Steven Decker

A funeral service for Mr. Steven Decker will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. John Temple officiating.  Interment will follow at the Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Newton.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Steven Decker, 51, of Collinsville, Mississippi passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Steven was born in Jacksonville, Illinois on July 17, 1969.  He joined the United States Navy in July 1987 and served until 1991.  Following his service, he met the love of his life, Monica Gilbreath Decker, and the two were married in 1997.  Together they raised three children and made their home in Collinsville.  Steven was a long-time employee of Vertex Aerospace and worked on NAS Meridian as aircraft inspector.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys.  Steven will be greatly missed as a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend by many.

Mr. Decker is survived by his wife, Monica Decker; his children, Shelby Kosater (Rory), Dallas Decker (Olivia), and Ashlynn Decker; grandchildren, Mason and Peyton; his father, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Decker; and his siblings, Eric Decker, Ronald Decker, Jr. (Millie), and Crissy Woods (Leo).

He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie White Decker; and his grandparents, Dale Zane Decker and Rosalie Decker.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
