A funeral service for Sylvia will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. Philip Marshall officiating, burial to follow. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Sylvia, age 85 of Meridian, passed away peacefully at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Survivors include her children, Eddie Gibson (Suzie), Nena Gibson, and Connie Lane (Paul); grandchildren, Joey Gibson (Dana), Brantley Massey (Corey), and Nathan Gibson; great-grandchildren, Paxton Smith and Corinne Gibson; sister, Norma Guy; nieces, Suzette Riley and Jerri Ballard; nephew, Greg Guy; a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by father, Ed Rucker, mother, Suzette Mayo.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.
