Sylvia Imogene Johnson Kynerd Services for Sylvia Imogene Johnson Kynerd will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 10:00 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverends Hollis Warren and Mike Boles officiating. Burial will be in Damascus Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Damascus. Mrs. Kynerd, 80, of Meridian, died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Rush Specialty Hospital. She was a member of Damascus Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Kynerd was born in Lepanto, Arkansas on March 24, 1931. She worked as a nurse at Anderson Hospital and also with Dr. Billy Anderson. Survivors include her husband, Thomas C. Kynerd of Meridian; daughters, Patricia Kynerd Thomas and her husband Dave W. of Collinsville, Regina Kynerd Smith and her husband Danny Ray of Meridian; grandchildren, Darrell W. Thomas and his wife Kaycie, Brad Thomas and his wife Amber and Stephen R. Smith; great-grandchildren, Zack Thomas, Ty Thomas, Corey Thomas, Alannah Smith and Lorna Smith; sisters, Ida Lea Johnson, Mary Wilson and her husband Bobby, Bea Herod, Bonnie Blackmon and her husband Frankie Joe; brother, Dale Johnson and his wife Linda; numerous nieces and nephews.
