Teresa Jo Lisenbe

Funeral services for Mrs. Teresa Jo Lisenbe will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Mr. John Lisenbe and Rev. John Sweeney officiating. The Lisenbe Family will receive guests from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM following funeral rites in the chapel. Interment will take place at approximately 1:45 PM at Bethel Southern Methodist Church Cemetery, located at 1887 Bethel Church Road Bailey, MS 39320, following graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Lisenbe, 73, of Meridian, died Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.

Teresa graduated from Mendenhall High School in 1970. She attended Copiah Lincoln Jr. College and graduated with an AA. She spent most of her working life as a bookkeeper. She loved people and had a servant’s heart. Teresa continually brought life to the lives of others with her smile and her joyful heart. After committing her life to Christ at the age of 26, she then spent many years in service to God by serving the needs of others. Teresa was a member of the worship team at Liberty Church in Meridian for many years. She was in ministry along with her husband at Righteous Oaks Recovery Center until she became ill.

Teresa is survived by her husband of over 41 years, John Lisenbe; children, Jason Pittman, Sarah Kim (David), and John Lisenbe (Taylor); grandchildren, Emmy Rose Kim and Audrey Kim; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Mrs. Lisenbe is preceded in death by her parents, James Norris and Alma Lee Culpepper; and one sister, Diane McClendon.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Barr, Brad Barr, Marlan Murphy, Steve Neely, Winston Powell, and Chuck Sanders.

The Lisenbe Family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made as donations to Righteous Oaks Recovery Center, located at 5120 Pine Forest Rd, Chunky, MS 39323.
