Funeral services for Teresa Fant Wallace will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Robert Barham Funeral Home in Meridian, Miss., with Rev. Tommy Campbell officiating. She will be laid to rest in Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery in Collinsville, Miss. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Ms. Wallace, age 72, a former resident of Beaumont, Calif., and later Las Vegas, passed away on August 8, 2025 in Las Vegas.
Born at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., on March 22, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Norman Lewis Fant and the late Willa Dean Rogers Fant.
She attended Greenville High School, graduating with the Class of 1971. There she met her future husband Dale Edward Wallace, Sr. The couple had two children – Dale Edward Wallace, Jr., and Christopher Eric Wallace. Teresa later attended Meridian Community College School of Nursing, completing her degree as a Registered Nurse in December of 1999.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who dedicated her life to caring for others. She was caretaker for her beloved mother, Willa Rogers Fant, during her extended illness until her death in 2003. The true joys of her life were her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, and was an avid fan of her beloved New Orleans Saints football team. She also enjoyed fulfilling her civic duties, working the polls, and poll watching.
Teresa worked for more than 20 years as a registered nurse, traveling throughout the country to provide care for others, including working with Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA; Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC.; Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, NY.; Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Calif.; East Mississippi State Hospital in Meridian, Miss; and and Eisenhower medical center in Palm Springs, Ca. from which she retired.
Preceding her in death were former spouses Dale Edward Wallace, Sr. and Richard Bunyard, and her parents, Norman L. Fant and Willa Rogers Fant.
She is survived by her two sons, Christopher Eric Wallace and Dale Edward Wallace Jr.; grandson Vincent Elijah Wallace; granddaughters Emma Brooke Wallace and Anna Grace Wallace; daughter-in-law and friend Daliah McClendon; brothers Roger L. Fant (Debbie) and Kevin L. Fant (Patti); and sisters Norma Kaye Fant Neal (Jimmy), and Dee Ann Fant Campbell (Tommy); along with a list of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will include Eric Wallace, Eli Wallace, Martin Cruz, Roger Fant, Kevin Fant, and Tyler Fant.
