Terry L. Wright

Funeral services for Mr. Terry Wright will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Wesley Robinson officiating. Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Wright, age 82, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at Martha Jo Leslie State Veteran’s Home in Kosciusko, MS.

Terry graduated from Fair Park High School in 1954. He enlisted in the Navy in June of 1954. During his time in the Navy, he spent time in Norman, OK, Memphis, TN, Whidbey Island, D.C., and Corpus Christi, TX, before being discharged in 1958. He worked for several places including Dictaphone Company and The Kroger Company before reenlisting in 1961. He was stationed in numerous places including Puerto Rico, Norfolk, VA, Meridian, MS, and Jacksonville, FL before retiring as a Chief Petty Officer, Aviation Electronics Technician in 1976. After he retired, he moved to Shreveport, LA for one year, before moving to Meridian, MS. In Meridian, he worked for Bemco Mattress Company prior to returning to the Navy Base, where he worked Sikorsky until his final retirement. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend by those who knew him. He also had many beloved pets throughout the years.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Marolyn O. Wright; children, Karen W. Reynolds (Ed), Stephen T. Wright (Ada), Peggy Williams, Jonathan S. Wright (Patricia); grandchildren, Kristen Munn (Robert), Taylor Wright Reynolds (Elizabeth), Michael B. Wright (Ashley), Mackenzie Roberts, Stephen A. Wright, Sabrina Harris, and Amber Burth; great-grandchildren, Madison Munn, Alexander Wright, Anabella Kilpatrick, and Rowen Burth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter B. Wright and Hazel G. Wright; a brother, Lionel Wright (Vickie); and his very dear friend of many years, James Howell of Shreveport, LA.

The family requests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Paralyzed Veterans of America, or to the local Animal Shelter or rescue.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
