Mrs. Dorman, 77, of Meridian, passed away Saturday June 27, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Theresa resided most of her life in Meridian, MS. She was the “Glue” in her family, she loved everyone; never a judgment from her, just a warm smile and a helping hand. She loved to give back to her community, especially to the homeless. To her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren she always did everything in her power to resolve any issue, want, or need they had. She always told us that we never knew what other people went through nor the shoes they had to walk in so when you see them just “Pass it on.” Bill Dorman, Sr., her loving husband of 60 years as of June 15, was her rock as she was his also.  She loved to have a good time, and Bill always made sure that her rides on “Good Times,” fishing, and overall “Good Times.” She loved Jesus with all that she had and prayed constantly. She loved to fellowship with family, friends, and even strangers with gatherings filled with laughter, eating, and singing. Her one prayer for her family was that “She prayed they had the same faith that she had in Jesus Christ.”

She leaves behind her husband, Bill Dorman, Sr.; daughters, Sounja Dorman Sanders (Vernon), Pamela Dorman Morgan (Tom); and son, Bill Dorman, Jr. (Carla). Grandchildren, Dylan Morgan (Allyson), Bailey Dorman Matlock (Will), Kyle Rutledge (Jodi), Sydney Peavey (Michael), Dansby Sanders, Dakota Sanders, Samuel Sanders (Katelyn), and Hannah Sanders. Great-grandchildren, “Sugar” Dorman Sanders, Denver Sanders, Demi Sanders, Dilliah Sanders, Maddox Fason, Miles Matlock, Caroline Wells, Keaton Wells and Mari Patton-Brown, T.K. Rutledge, Chandler Rutledge, Lydia Rutledge, as well as soon to be arriving great grandson and great granddaughter. One sister, Lena Tucker (Donnie); sisters-in-law Bonnie James (Lewis), and Carol Edmonds (Richard); brothers-in-law, Ricky Swanner (Melissa), and Johnny Booker as well as host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. Dorman is preceded in death by her parents, Cowan and Judith Wall; Mother and Father-in-law, Sam and Ferris Vernell Dorman; granddaughter, Genna Lanae Dean; nieces, Laura Tucker Sisson and Lisa McReynolds; nephew, John Booker; and sisters-in-law, Lana Booker and Patsy Taylor.

The family requests memorials be made as donations to the Evangel Temple Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.

She will be missed but we know that she is with Jesus Christ, that is all we could ever hope for. We will take comfort in knowing we will see her again, one day soon. Until we meet again, We love you Mawmaw.

The Dorman family will receive guest from 10:00 am until 11:15 prior to funeral rites at the church. Facial covering are required to enter services at Evangel Temple Church.
