Funeral services for Mr. Thomas McDaniel will begin at 10:00 am, Monday, December 10, 2018 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Franklin Denham officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. McDaniel, age 92, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Thomas was a devoted member of Highland Baptist Church and a Merit Life Deacon. He was also a World War II Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater. He was the founder and owner of Industrial Electric Motor Works.

Survivors include daughter, Kathy Temple her husband, Kyle; sons, Tony McDaniel his wife, Debbie, and Stephen McDaniel his wife, Cindy, all of Meridian; grandchildren, Claire Thames  her husband, Will, of Laurel, MS, William McDaniel his wife, Katie, of Meridian, MS,  Margie Kate Miller her husband, Adam, of Meridian, MS, Missy Covington her husband, Keith of Bailey, MS, Madison Hike her husband, Justin of Meridian, MS, Mallory McDaniel and her fiancé, Charlie Muncaster of Nashville, TN; great grandchildren, Ryan, Lucy, and Ally McDaniel of Meridian, MS, Emma and Luke Miller of Meridian, MS, Olivia and Noah Covington of Bailey, MS, and Meredith and Magnolia Hike of Meridian, MS; sister, Gloria Ireland of Augusta, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen Newby McDaniel; son-in-law, James Cook; parents, William and Annie McDaniel; and 7 siblings.

Family would like to acknowledge his dedicated caregiver and friend Lynn Wilkins; caregivers from Home Instead Senior Care, especially JoeAnn Blackshear, Trina Knott and Tara Moore.

The family request memorials be made to Highland Baptist Church: 3400 27th Street, Meridian, MS 39305 or a Charity of choice in memory of Thomas McDaniel.

Pallbearers will be Will Thames, William McDaniel, Adam Miller, Keith Covington, Justin Hike, and Charlie Muncaster.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 9 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
