Thomas "Jimmy" Irby, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas J. “Jimmy” Irby, Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Causeyville Baptist Church with Rev. Gilbert Eaves officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Thomas J. “Jimmy” Irby, Jr. went to his heavenly home on Monday, January 13, 2020 surrounded by his family.

Jimmy was born March 29, 1948 to Thomas Irby, Sr. and Doris Hall Irby in Meridian.  He married the love of his life, Patricia M. Irby, in 1971.  Together, they owned Jones Auto Service for twenty-six years.  Jimmy loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.  He was a life-long member of Causeyville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Doris Irby; his wife, Patricia Irby; his sons, Keith Irby (Tanya) and Kevin Irby (Cheri); and his grandchildren, Shelby, Jacob, Hayleigh, and Chase.  He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Boldin; his brother-in-law, Perry Mitchell (Lea Ann); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Irby, Sr.; and his parents-in-law, Leo and Helen Mitchell.

Pall bearers will be Jacob Irby, Chase Irby, Wendell Hostetler, Scotty Taylor, Adam Boldin, Travis Mitchell, Canyon Mitchell, Jackson Mitchell, Colby Avera, and Mike Pickard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be shared with Forgotten Children Ministries, PO Box 36399, Birmingham, AL 35236 or Gideon’s International.

The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Causeyville Baptist Church on Friday, January 17, 2020.
