Thomas Jessie Smith Memorial services for Thomas Jessie Smith will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Savoy Baptist Church, Hwy 11 with Reverend John Newbaker and Grandson Matthew Smith officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Smith 75, of Meridian died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his residence. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Okinawa, Japan. Mr. Smith worked as a butcher in the Meridian area. Survivors include his daughters, Donna Molony and her husband Jerry of Meridian, Terry Fortenberry and her husband Lee of Philadelphia, Deda Moore and her husband Chris of Hayden, AL, Nancy Cox and her husband Jimmy of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilda Carter of Arkansas, Rogenia Swindol of Tunica, MS; numerous nieces and nephews.
