Tom Warden was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected member of his community whose life embodied service, hard work, and a deep love of his country. Born into a coal mining family in the Appalachian Mountains, he answered the call of duty early, serving as a field medic with the U. S. Army’s 1st Cavalry division in Vietnam in 1970. He later spent 11 years as a Virginia State Trooper before moving to Mississippi, where he managed and eventually owned Mid-South Welding Supply in Meridian for more than 37 years. A lifelong sports enthusiast and avid golfer, he also took great pride in tending to his 100-acre farm in Kemper County. His legacy of quiet strength, service and stewardship will be remembered by all who knew him.
