Graveside Services for Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Diamond will begin at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Polk Memory Gardens in Cedartown, GA. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 12:30pm at Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home, in Cedartown, GA prior to graveside rights. The family will receive friends at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 4:00pm - 6:00 pm in Meridian, MS.
Mr. Diamond, 74, of Collinsville passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at Rush Foundation Hospital of Meridian.
Tommy was born and raised in Cedartown, GA and was a graduate of Cedartown Highschool in 1963; Tommy married the love of his life in 1969 and went on to graduate from West Georgia University in 1973. Tommy was also a die-hard Georgia Bulldog Fan. He began his banking career at Liberty National Bank in Cedartown, GA in 1967; he retired after 46 years in 2013 at Trustmark Bank in Meridian, MS. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Airforce. Tommy was also a member of the Meridian Optimist Club for many years.
Tommy is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 50 years, Janice Davis Diamond; special friends, Joyce Neal, Willie Mae Logan, Audrey and Larry DuPont, Gina Wooten, Jackie and Marvis Killingsworth and Doris Lanham; his special cat, “Scooter”, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Mr. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents Guy W. and Elizabeth Diamond; and an infant sister, Margie Diamond.
