Services for Thomas F. "Tommy" Nutt Services for Thomas F. "Tommy" Nutt will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverends T. J. Jennings and Clay Pope officiating. Burial will be at Pine Forest Cemetery in Collinsville, Mississippi. Tommy, 68, of the Martin Community died Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was an active member, Sunday school teacher and deacon of Pine Forest Baptist Church. At age 19, Tommy enlisted in the United States Army. He was proud to have served his country during the Vietnam War where he was deployed as an artillery communication technician. Following the war, he began a lengthy career as a pipe-fitter/plumber. He was employed at NAS Public Works Department in Meridian. Tommy enjoyed hunting, camping, gospel singing, and being "PAW" to the joys of his life; his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of forty-nine years, Judi McNeece Nutt; one son, Chris (Christy) Nutt of Hickory; a daughter, Nikki (Scott) Miles; four grandchildren, Dilan, Justin and Landon Miles and Lillian Nutt; a brother, J. K. "Kim" Nutt (Barbara) of Martin. He is also survived by aunts, numerous cousins, and many friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evedean "Joe" and Annie Lee Hand Nutt; a brother, Mike Nutt; mother and father-in-law, Madie and Elbert McNeece. Pallbearers will be Joe and Bill Pace, Danny Luke, Freddie Gully, Danny Cook, Ed Chisolm, Hank and Josh Perkins. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Pine Forest and co-workers at NAS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Building Fund at Pine Forest Baptist Church, 10031 West Lauderdale Road, Collinsville, MS 39325. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
