Thomas Zettler

A Funeral Mass for Mr. Thomas R. Zettler Sr. will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Augustine Palimattam, Father Carlisle Beggerly, and Msgr. Elvin Sunds officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the church. A private family burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Thomas R. Zettler Sr. passed away Monday, December 1, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Zettler was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where he served as Religious Education Coordinator, RCIA, and a very active member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 802.

He also served his country in the United States Navy where he retired as a LCDR after 20 years. During this time, he received many recognitions including Navy Meritorious Service medal and the NAM Gold Star.

Mr. Zettler was also a lifelong Notre Dame fan "GO IRISH"!

He is survived by his wife Jo Anne Zettler; children, Thomas R. Zettler II (Dawn)- Naples, Florida, John D. Zettler (Wendy)-Gainesville, GA, Paul J. Zettler- Fairhope, AL, James A. Zettler (Susan)- Pensacola, FL, Linda E. McKay-Pensacola, FL, David M. Zettler (Suzanne)- Meridian, MS, Mary C. Zettler- Meridian, MS, Daniel P. Zettler (Kim)- Caledonia, MS, Theresa J. Franklin (Brandon), Meridian, MS, 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way, brother, Henry B. Zettler-Mt. Pleasant, SC, sister, Marge Zettler- Medford, OR, and several "adopted" children.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Zettler, parents, Henry and Elizabeth Zettler, and brother, John Conway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor may be made to St. Patrick Catholic School or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
