Services for Trudie Atkinson Purvis Clay will be held Friday at 12:00p.m. at the Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ryan Culpepper officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Clay, 84, of Dalewood, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Clay was a homemaker. She was also a resident of Autumn House since August, a member of First Baptist Church of Lauderdale, a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and a long time resident at Dalewood Lake. Survivors include, one son, Robert E. "Bob" Atkinson and his wife Dianne, of Meehan, two grandchildren, Karen Barnes and her husband, Brian of Brandon, Robby Atkinson and his fiancé, Nikki of Meehan, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtie Abel, sisters, Florence Hayes, Lucille Mayfield, brothers, Elmer Abel, L.C. Abel, George Able and a special niece Fran Hayes. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. at the Funeral Home.
