Truly "Troop" Smith

Graveside services for Mr. Truly “Troop” Smith will begin at 11:30 am Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Smith Chapel Cemetery on Hwy 491. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Smith, 80, of Collinsville, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Troop loved life; he was a person who loved children, making friends, driving a truck, and was a good and godly man. He was a faithful member of Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Meehan. Mr. Smith drove for Dixie Oil and went on to retire from Maples Gas Company after over 30 years of service.

Mr. Troop is survived by his wife of over 24 years, Pat Smith; siblings Kye Smith (Betty), Faye Sistrunk; sister-in-law Joyce W. Gressett as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents Weaver and Lunie Smith; siblings, Hubert Smith, Bud Smith, Sang Smith, Hansel Smith, Paul Smith, Lola Smith, Darlene Tucker, and Dorothy Thompson.

The family suggests memorial be made as donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
