Tyler Torgerson

January 23, 1987 — December 7, 2015

Funeral services for Tyler Torgerson will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Roger Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

Mr. Torgerson, age 28, of Meridian, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015.

Tyler was the most amazing, naturally talented musician. He was outstanding on the viola and taught himself to play the guitar, piano, and numerous other instruments. He was a member of the Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra. Tyler loved to hunt, and loved football, especially Ole Miss Football. He was an avid reader and wonderful chef. He was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be missed by many.

Survivors include his parents, Larry and Tjwanna Torgerson; brothers, Matt Torgerson and wife, Stacey, and Drew Torgerson; nephew, Irie Ikler; grandfather, Bill Ward; grandmother, Dorothy Torgerson; aunts and uncles, Lisa and Jim Huffaker, Stan and Bonnie Ward, and Dr. Barbara and Dr. Robert McCord; cousins, DD, Liz, Joey, Jake, and Austin; and his faithful companion, Sammy.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bonnie Alexander Ward and grandfather, Stan Torgerson.
