Velma H. White Services for Velma H. White will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:30 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Clay Chancelor officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Cemetery, Bailey. Mrs. White, 80, of Meridian died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Regency Hospice. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren referred to her as "Mamaw the Great". She will be missed by many friends, neighbors and loved ones. Her favorite past times were cooking and caring for her family and friends. Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Monsour and her husband Tommy, Wanda Shivers and her husband Leslie, Cindy Harper and her husband Travis, Julie Miller and Sandi Maxwell and her husband Danny; grandchildren, Kim Monsour, Lori Hatcher, Amanda Sayers, Dusty Miller, Jenni Miller, Daniel Maxwell, Laci Maxwell, Brandon Maxwell and Andy Maxwell; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Jackie Sessions; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. "Dusty" White; 2 granddaughters, Heather Harper Gilbert and Amy Monsour; sister, Jeanette Kern. Pallbearers will be Tommy Monsour, Leslie Shivers, Danny Maxwell, Dusty Miller, Daniel Maxwell, and Scott Hatcher. Honorary pallbearers are Travis Harper, Paul Blier, Rodney Blier and Steve Lewis.
