Vera Sarah McGlawn (June 28, 1923 - November 3, 2013) Mrs. Vera S. McGlawn, age 90, of Moss Point, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013. She was born to the late Joseph Adflus Johnson Sr. and Victoria Hazel Johnson on June 28, 1923 in Anguilla, MS. Mrs. Vera enjoyed crafting and reading. She was a loving mother and devoted wife. Mrs. Vera is preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Davis McGlawn; and two sons, Joseph Lynn McGlawn and Edward Lee McGlawn. Mrs. Vera is survived by her three sons, Charles (Charlotte) McGlawn Sr. Reverend Archie (Nancy) McGlawn, and Earl (Christyne) McGlawn; five grandchildren, Davy and Travis McGlawn, Jeffrey and Carlie Russ, and Chandra Fore; and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Vera will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 10:00 12:00 noon, at Robert Barham Funeral Home in Meridian, MS. Services will begin at 12:00 noon with Reverends Jim Gordon and Howard Reynolds officiating. Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery. Arrangements made by Holder-Wells Funeral Home.
