Vickie Yvonne Lawson

Mrs. Vickie Lawson, age 61, of Meridian, MS, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at her home.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

She was a mom first and foremost, she loved and cared for her children very much. Being a mom was her full time job and she did it very well. She loved to start her mornings with a cup of coffee sitting in her rocking chair on her front porch. She was Granny, Gram-Gram, Grammy, Danny, and Grandma to her grandchildren. "You are My Sunshine" was her expression of love and affection.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James Lawson, her five children; Jenny Donald, Jason Lawson, Jamie Lawson, Janika Lawson, Jasmine Lawson, her twelve grandchildren; Destiny Donald, Devin Donald, Sarah Barker, Christian Lawson, Nathan Peebles, Natalee Peebles, Caleb Horne, Noah Peebles, Abigail Lawson, Blaize, Kye, and one little man on the way, one great grandson Kohen.

She was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Clara Rice.
