Memorial services for Violet Levine will be held Sunday, February 16, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Dr. John Temple officiating.
Ms. Violet Levine, age 88, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, February 5 th 2020.
She was born on December 12 th 1931 in New Orleans, LA to Wilfred and Solange Schlamp. With the admirable combination of beauty and brains she graduated early from Eleanor McMain school and went on to become a successful businesswoman while raising four children with her husband, the late Charles “Charlie” Levine. Charlie and Violet were the owners of Levines Office Supply Co. in Meridian, MS from 1971-2006 and were long-time members of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Affectionately known as “Poochie” to her family and close friends. Violet was known for her generosity, her unwavering concern for others’ feelings, her unconditional respect she bestowed upon everyone and her nurturing spirit.
Survivors include her sister, Kathy Neff; children, Linda Cobb, Danny Levine (Michelle), Rhonda Martin (Mike) and Patty Driskill (Alan); grandchildren, Kim Levine Boles, Christy Motley Myers (Brandon), Ryan Motley (Rachel), Patrick Sanders, Alex Levine and Alyssa Robinson; 12 great-grandchildren and many other special family members.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to National Foundation for Transplants for Patty Driskill.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 16, 2020, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
