Funeral Services for Mrs. Vira Ann Salter will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00am at Damascus Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Volking, Bro. Hollis Warren, and Bro. Scott Engle officiating. Burial will follow at Damascus Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Salter, age 79, of De Kalb passed away Monday, December 25, 2017, at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia.

She was an active member of Damascus Freewill Baptist Church. She was also well-known in Kemper County.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Ronny Salter; children, Teresa (Thomas) Smith, Daryl (Tanya) Salter, Kim (Tony) Volking, and Shannon (Ashley) Salter; grandchildren, Ashley Arabie, Lindsay Smith, George Volking, Anna Salter, and Allen Salter; great-grandchildren, Tenley McAdory, Peyton McAdory, and Zayne Arabie; her siblings, John Chisolm, Judy Wiggins, and Beth Clay; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herschel and Lelia Chisolm; and her son, Kerry Salter.

The family requests memorials be made to the Freewill Baptist Home Missions Board.

Pallbearers will be Joe Neal, Dick Massey, Jimmy Weathers, Elmer Moore, Jackie Penney, and Wilmer Wiggins.
