Vivian Lockler Hill

Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian Lockler Hill will begin at 2:30 PM Friday, January 17, 2025, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Sharon Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Vivian Lockler Hill of Lauderdale died at her home January 14, 2025.

Vivian, 97, was born March 13, 1927, in Noxubee County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Stephen Vivian Lockler and Dora Cordelia Reynolds.

Vivian was an active member of the Lauderdale Community Church, and a volunteer of the Rush Hospital Auxiliary for seventeen years. She was a passionate flower gardener and a founding member of the Lauderdale Garden Club. Over the years she was active in the Daylily Society, The Rose Society, and The Chrysanthemum Society, and took great pride in own gardens.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Hill Gough (Ed) and son, Michael Wallace Hill; two sisters, Jane Vaughn and Bonnie Gentry; and her grandsons, Adrian Michael Hill (Leia), John Hill Gough (Ceri), Adam Graham Hill (Charlotte); her granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Hill; 11 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Carey Hill, and three brothers, Wallace, Brakke, and Ray Lockler; and her grandson, Edward Michael Gough.

The Hill family requests memorials be made as donations to the Lauderdale Community Church in lieu of flowers.
