A graveside service for Walter Hamner will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Enondale Cemetery with Brother Cliff Barker officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Walter Roy Hamner, age 87, of Meridian passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at The Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare.

Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Ann Hamner and Donna Hamner Turner; numerous grandkids; siblings, Kenny Hamner, Linda Rawson, Dot Goforth, Betty Ekey, and Odeen Raleigh; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hamner; siblings, Helen Craddock, Sonny Hamner, Virginia Strawn, Patsy Sage, Janet Thomas, and Leon Hamner; parents, Thomas Edward and Mary Hamner.
