Warren Edward Collins, Sr. Services for Warren Edward Collins, Sr. will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 2:30 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend G. Mitchell McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Collins, 91, of Meridian, died January 9, 2013 at Golden Living Center. He was a member of Druid Hills Methodist Church. Mr. Collins served in the U.S. Army 83rd Chemical Battalion. He was a Veteran of WW II, serving in Italy where he received the Purple Heart twice. He retired from Dement Printing and later worked for Great Southern Bank where he retired in 2002 at the age of 80. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mildred Adleen Collins of Meridian; children, Patricia Reinhold and her husband Glendon of Meridian, Warren Edward Collins, Jr. and his fiancé, Elena Marie DeSchamps, of Biloxi, Mary Jane Bradley and her husband Gene of Leesburg, AL; grandchildren, Lance Hunter and Ginger Moore of Meridian, Trisha Johnson of Birmingham, AL, Susan Ashley of Cedar Bluff, AL, Mary Jean Bradley of Leesburg, AL; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Wallace Collins, O.D. Collins, Jr., and James Collins, all of Pasadena, TX; sisters, Trunell Perry of Cleveland, MS, Juanita James of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.D. and Pearl Collins; brothers, Leon and Martin Collins. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
