Wayne Leroy Daily

A memorial service for Mr. Wayne Daily will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Robinson officiating.

Mr. Wayne Daily, age 79, of Bailey, Mississippi passed peacefully at his home July 18, 2019.

Mr. Daily was born January 20, 1940 in Colville, Washington to the late William and Mary Daily.  He early enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17, serving from 1957 to 1976, retiring at the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer.  Mr. Daily was the instructor at Meridian Junior College as a machine tool trade educator.  He was a maker of firearms, knives, primitive weapons – a true craftsman in all aspects of the word.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Mrs. Rita Faye Dillard Daily; his children, Teresa Davis (Jeff) of Bailey, Chris Daily (Brandy) of Bailey, and Pat Daily (Michelle) of Tupelo; grandchildren, Parker Davis (Misty), Dr. Paige Davis-Hill (Grant), Chase Daily, Tristan Daily, and Cade Daily.  He is survived by his brothers, Don Daily of Oklahoma City and Harvey Daily of Spokane.

Mr. Daily was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Clara Marie Kyllo, Lois Jean Bradshaw, Irving Daily, and Bobby Daily.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be shared with the American Cancer Society or the charity of donor’s choice.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
