Graveside Services for Wayne Elmo Newell will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with Reverend Jimmy Smithey officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Newell, age 55, of Meridian, died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and worked with MIDD for many years. He loved and enjoyed music. Survivors include his mother, Luna G. Newell of Meridian; sister, Joy Whitlock of Meridian; brother Roderick Newell, M.D. of Long Beach, MS; niece, Tamara McMullan and husband, Justin of Meridian; great-nieces, Kinsley Brock, Kaylen Brock, and Miley Kate McMullan; nephew, Brock Newell of Biloxi, MS; and niece, Sarah Elizabeth Brock of New Orleans, LA. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmo Newell. The family request memorials be made to Central Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
