Funeral services for Cleveland Wayne Pickard will be held Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, with Reverend Jim Hutchison, Reverend Tom Belcher, and Reverend Nick Holden. Burial will be at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Cleveland Wayne Pickard, age 82 of Meridian, Ms., passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Wayne was a deacon at Mt Horeb Baptist Church for many years and served as a Sunday school teacher.
Pickard, as he was called by most that knew him, grew up in Meridian and went to Long Creek High School. After graduating, he served four years in the Air Force stationed in Johnston Atoll, Hawaii. He worked as a carpenter, refrigeration/air condition repairman, fireman at Naval Air Station Meridian and retired as a maintenance man at the Meridian post office.
Pickard loved a good argument, any fence post would do. He loved woodworking, hanging out with his family, and friends at the hunting camp, riding his John Deere tractor, and telling jokes.
Pickard would help anyone with anything they needed and was loved by all who knew him. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend to all he met.
He is survived by the love of his life, Patsy A. Pickard, his soulmate and devoted wife for 57 years and so many wonderful memories of their lives together. His loving son, Chuck Pickard and wonderful daughter in law, Tammy, whom he loved so much, and her sons, Taylor Stokes (Leyton Thomas), and Blake Boykin, his wife, Tasha and their 3 kids, Hudson, Brantley, and Carter. A Special sister, Rae Carol Enzor, and her wonderful husband, Arnold Ray. A very special loving niece, Dana Graham; special nephews, Mark Riley (Stephanie), Logan Tucker (Kristen), Dalton, and Kaleb. Special nephew, Richard Riley (Valerie), and their kids, Hunter, Jessica, Tyler, and Kristen. A brother, Gerald Pickard (Hazel) and their children, Jan Gonzalas (Rolando) and Tina Pickard. Special double cousin, Mike Pickard (Marla), Alex, Sara Flynn (Will), Susan Thomas (Josh), and their daughter, Presley.
Wayne was preceded in death by a very special nephew, Dylan Mabry, his parents, Leo Pickard and Mattie Pickard, and his in laws, Christine and Shorty McDonald.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Horeb Baptist Church building fund.
Pall bearers will be, Mike Pickard, Arnold Ray Enzor, Mark Riley, Richard Riley, Johnny Roberson, and Caroll McLemore.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 13 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.
The family asks that those attending the service wear a face mask and social distancing be practiced per State and Local guidelines.
