Wayne Smith

Funeral Services for Wayne Smith (Mr. Hillbilly) will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018  at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Don Sanks officiating. Interment will be held Monday, May 7, 2018 at Perdido Baptist Cemetery in Perdido, AL at 1:00 p m.

Mr. Smith, age 75, of Meridian passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Smith was the owner and operator of Hillbillies Convenience Store in the Pine Springs Community.  Prior to that, Mr. Smith worked in real estate rental and also owned the “O.K. Corral” Bar.

Survivors include his children, Kevin W. Smith. Rocky Smith, Christy Dickerson, and Janeice Smith. Eight grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, sister, Janice Smith, and nieces, Renae Wingard and Tabatha Eady.

He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Pauline Smith, and one son, Timothy Smith.
