Wayne Keith Stephens

Private graveside services for Mr. Wayne K. "Kessie" Stephens were held at Meridian Memorial Park. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Stephens, 85, of Meridian died on September 22, 2026 at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Kessie graduated from Meridian High School in 1960. He worked for many years as a salesman for various companies. He was a truly kind soul who enjoyed stamp collecting, quilting, old movies, and especially enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show. He was an avid Mississippi State fan - Hail State!

Survivors include his brother, Tommy C. Stephens, Sr. and his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Larry Miska; their children, Eliot Smith (Lauren), Luke Smith, Richie Miska (Angel), and Kim Baker (Nathan); great-nieces and nephews, Ainsley Brooke Smith, Rhett Smith, Ryder Smith, Dani Miska, Nolan McCarra, Nathan McCarra, and Asher Baker; sister, Kay Stephens Burrage; brother, Tony Stephens (Calie); nephew, Ryan Burrage (Kristina); and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Stephens; his parents, Cecil W. and Jewell Virigina Stephens; his grandparents, G.F. Stephens and Evie Sharp; and his nephew, Tommy C. Stephens, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to North Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mr. Stephens' memory.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at North Pointe Health and Rehabilitation, as well as the nurses and staff at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center, especially Dr. Alexander, Dr. French, Heather Hollinsworth, AGACNP-BC, Marcie and Olivia for their exceptional care.
