Services for Wilburn "Pete" Edwards will be held today at 2:30 at Concord United Methodist Church, with Reverends Susie Jones and Gerald Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Edwards, 78, of Chunky, died Tuesday December 8, 2009 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired from Cobb Construction and a member of Concord United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Jackie Edwards of Chunky, three daughters, Denise Russell and her husband Johnny, of Chunky, Sherry Alsup and her husband Dickie, of Enterprise, and Beth Burchfield of Meridian. Two sisters, Mavis Herrington of Philadelphia, MS, Goldie Mae Smith, of Union, MS, one brother, Raymond Edwards, of Brandon, MS, four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert Bickham, Hollis Carroll, Isacc Milton, Jerry Brown, Roger Shirley,and Leland Caudill. Visitation is Wednesday from 5-8 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
