Wilfrid "Soupy" R. Campbell Services for Wilfrid "Soupy" R. Campbell will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Campbell, 69, of Meridian died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Campbell retired from the Navy after serving for twenty years and then retired from the Stennis Center after twenty five years. He also retired from San Diego Community College. Mr. Campbell was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Gail S. Campbell; son Scott Campbell and his wife Kristi of Meridian; a daughter Robin Neese and her husband Wesley of Hattiesburg; and a sister Joyce Lee of Petal. He was preceded in death by his parents Elayne and John Cameron. The family requests that memorials be made to the Diabetes Association.
