Willena Georgia Ross

Funeral services for Mrs. Willena Georgia “Connie” Ross will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Russell, Bro. Jerry Bishop, and Bro. Bill Ross will officiate the service. Burial will be held at Blackwater Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Ross, age 86, passed away on May 4, 2019 at The Beehive Nursing Center in Louisville, MS.

Mrs. Ross retired from Civil Service after twenty-two years.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lauderdale since 1976.

She is survived by her son, Craig Boyd and his wife, Leila, of Gig Harbor, Washington; sister, Karen Horton and her husband, Bill, of Belle Rive, Illinois; stepsons, Bill Ross and his wife, Beverly, of Macon, MS and Michael Ross of Alabama; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-nine years, Gene Gully Ross; her parents, W.W. “Bill” Colvin and Edna Forth Colvin Garrison; and one great-grandson, Rhett Watson Vernon.

Pallbearers will be Randy Horton, Barry Horton, Trent Ross, Nick Vernon, Jonathan Whitehead, Orlando Ramos, and Rodney Garrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Houston Garrett, Jimmy Henley, Justin Dearing, Pete Branum, John Peal, Jimmy Reynolds, and Ronnie McLelland.
