William Frank Barr Services for William Frank Barr will be held Friday, January 31, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Wall, Central United Methodist Church Senior Adult Minister and the Reverend Will Dowling of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Barr, 85, of Meridian died at his home on January 29, 2014. He and his wife, Mary Lou Barr, owned and operated Barr's Grocery on Highway 39 North in Meridian for over thirty years and Barr's Auto Sales until his retirement in 2002. "Buddy," as he was known to friends and family, will be remembered for his positive attitude and love of people. He is survived by his son, David Barr and his wife Ava of Meridian; grandchildren, John David and wife, Jenni Barr of Meridian, and Allison Deming and husband, Brian of Diamondhead, Mississippi; great-grandchildren include Adeline Deming and Henry Grant Deming of Diamondhead. Also, special care givers Omar and Kendra Stephens of Meridian. He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-eight years, Mary Lou Covington Barr; brothers, Harry, James and Fred; sisters, Isabel Lindsey, Evelyn Richardson and Margie Gay Barfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
