William “Bill” Steve Briggs, Sr.

Funeral services for William S. “Bill” Briggs, Sr. will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 3:00PM at Briggs Chapel, with Pastor Nick Holden officiating. Burial will be held at Briggs Chapel Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Briggs, age 64, of Porterville passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.

He owned and operated Briggs Lawn Service. He had also worked with ICG and M & B Railroad while also being a member and worship leader of Briggs Chapel Church. Bill was president of Porterville Water Association. He will be truly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.

Survivors include his wife Karen H. Briggs; son, Brian Briggs (Toni); grandchildren, Colby and Haley Briggs; mother, Robbye Briggs; siblings, Pam Palmer (Keith) and Greg Briggs (Janet); father-in-law, Hubert Harless; mother-in-law, Peggy Mauldin (Dickey); sister-in-law, Bridget Mock (Scott) and numerous nieces and nephews.

He preceded in death by his son, William Steve Briggs, Jr. and father, Louie Briggs.

The family request memorials be made to Briggs Chapel Church.

Pallbearers will be Briggs Bishop, Brandon Briggs, Rusty Calvert, Alex Mock, Tyler Mock and Tommy Martin.
