William "Bill" Joseph Fairchild

Funeral services for Mr. William “Bill” Fairchild will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ (1404 MS-19, Meridian, MS 39301) with Rev. Allen Shortridge, Rev. Josh Fitzgerald, and Rev. Mark McFerren officiating. Interment rites with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Fairchild, age 66, of Meridian passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was a man who loved The Lord, his family, and hunting when he could; no deer was safe with him around. He was a long-time member of Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ of Meridian, MS, and was a former employee of Fairbanks Scales, where he worked hard for many years to provide for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bill honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard.

He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Jean Fairchild; children, Amanda Lynn Fairchild, William Joseph Fairchild, Jr., and Samuel Austin Fairchild (Morgan); mother-in-law, Jean Smith; brother-in-law, Jamey Smith (Jill); sisters-in-law, Amey Bailey (Buster) and April Spears (Rodney); brother, Robbie Fairchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Patricia Fairchild; sister, Michelle Fairchild; and his father-in-law, James Smith.

Pallbearers will be Preston Martin, Dakota McFerren, Jason Turner, Austin Doyle, Kevin Holifield, and Jeremy Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jamey Smith, Prentis White, Jackson Smith, and Buster Bailey.

The family will receive guests from 12:00 until 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday at the church prior to the funeral service.
