Funeral services for Billy Jones will be held Monday, July 11, 2016, at 11:30 a.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Billy Jones, age 35, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016.


William Claude “Billy” Jones, II was born June 21, 1981. He graduated from Clarkdale High School, where he excelled in many sports and won a soccer scholarship to East Mississippi Community College. Billy worked in the oil field off and on for 16 years and was a driller for Pacific Drilling. He sacrificed being away from home to provide for his family. His greatest joy in life was his wife and two daughters. He especially loved watching his oldest daughter, McKinley (KK), play soccer and basketball. He was generous to all who knew him and loved adventure and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Shay Jones; daughters, McKinley Blair Jones and Brooklyn Avery Jones; dad, William Claude Jones, Sr. and mom, Judy Ann Wilson Jones.

Pallbearers will be Chris Crawford, Joseph Mathis, Bobby Gibson, Richard McKissack, Kevin McKissack, and Justin Reid.
