William Bobby Boardman

Funeral services for Mr. William Bobby Boardman will begin at 10:00 am Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Glenn Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Lowe Cemetery in Georgetown, MS. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Boardman, 90, of Enterprise, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Bobby was a member of Central Baptist Church of Meridian where he served as a deacon. He retired after 30 years as a telegraph operator with ICG railroad. Mr. Boardman enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Mr. Bobby is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Virginia Boardman; children, Lynn Boardman, and Brenda Perry (Steve). Grandchildren Aubrey McAdory and Jake Perry, and one great grandson, Abel McAdory. Siblings, Betty Harris, Carolyn Smith, Wayne Boardman (Glynn) and Rachel Kamper (James Robert).

Mr. Boardman is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Ida Boardman; son, Joe Boardman; siblings, Deloris Joiner, and Kenneth Boardman, Opal Grace Boardman and Larry Boardman.

The family would also like to express a special thanks to Sta-home Hospice group and his wonderful and dedicated group of caregivers.

The family requests memorials be made to Central Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

Pallbearers will be Lee Martin, Tommy George, Jake Perry, Ben Duke, Brad Harper and Roland Woodard. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Ashmore,Barnie Eldridge, Danny Palmer, Wayne Page and Wade Crews.
