William E. "Buddy" Thomas Graveside service for Buddy Thomas will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, with Brother Mike Boles and Brother Ronnie Boles officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Thomas, 74, of Meridian passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Thomas was retired from the railroad after twenty-eight years. After his retirement he devoted most of his time to gardening, farming and spending time with his granddaughter. He enjoyed mule pulls and was a very active Free Mason. Survivors include his only child, LeAnn Thomas Shirley and her husband, Greg; his granddaughter, Lily Grace Shirley; brothers, Walter Thomas and Donnie Thomas and a sister Elizabeth Briggs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Annie Pearl Thomas; sisters, Louise Taylor, Marie Evans Williams and Janice Roberts and brother, Roy Roger Thomas Family and friends may sign the online guest book at robertbarhamffh.com. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
