Funeral services for Mr. William Ray Davidson will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Bryant officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
Mr. William Davidson, age 69, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at UMMC surrounded by loved ones. Ray was a wonderful and loving husband, father, papaw, and brother. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Ray was a "Man of God". He loved to serve the Lord and spent many years teaching others about the Word of God. Ray and Mrs. Frances were dedicated members to Water Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church in Whynot.
Ray spent many years as a truck driver for Swift Transportation. He loved what he did. He and Frances rode many long hours and miles together over the years.
Ray had many hobbies, but he especially loved playing the Wii at random hours of the night. His favorite games on the Wii were pool and bowling. He also enjoyed watching football and baseball. Ray was a very talented singer and loved singing all sorts of Gospel songs.
To know Ray was a blessing. He had many loved ones in his life and will be dearly missed.
Ray is survived by his wife, Frances Davidson; children, Sylvia Litchfield (Michael) and James Davidson; grandchildren, Josh Litchfield (Rebekah), Gabby Ousley (Forrest), Andrew Davidson, Hailey Shirley, Terrica Kirk, Alison Kirk, and Courtney Kirk; great-grandchildren, Silas Litchfield, Layla Curry, Kylee Williams, Ayden Cooper, and Alana Cooper; numerous great great-grandchildren; siblings, Jimmy Davidson, Robert Davidson (Beverly), Billy Rigdon, and Maggie Davenport (Gene), and as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Davidson is preceded in death by stepson, Howard Kirk; parents, Mose and Bamer Davidson; siblings, Johnnie Ruth Talbert, GW Davidson, Betty Sue Collins, Lola Mae Reed, and Rosie Moore, and daughter-in-law, Sue Davidson.
The family request that any flowers be ordered through Saxon's Florist in Meridian, MS.
Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until 12:45PM, prior to Chapel services on Monday at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
