William L. (Doc) Wilson Services for William L. (Doc) Wilson will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend T. J. Jennings officiating. Burial will be in Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Wilson, 80, of Collinsville died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. Mr. Wilson graduated from Center Hill High School in 1949 where he served as class president. He was an active member of Pine Forest Baptist Church where he also served as a Sunday school teacher. Mr. Wilson retired after twenty-two years of military service. He also worked at the Meridian Post Office after his retirement from the military. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Longstreet Masonic Lodge, York Rite Meridian Bodies, and also a member of the Hamasa Shrine Temple. Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years Winona Elgene Wilson of Collinsville, daughter Ramona Garrett of Collinsville, sons Joey Wilson of Canton and Norman T. Wilson and wife Jennifer of Meridian, grandchildren Lydia Wallace and husband Eric, Leah Vincent, David K. Garrett, Jr., Christina Jenkins, Faith and Caroline Wilson, great-grandchildren Emma Wallace, Grace Wallace, Eli Wallace, Rocki Boykin, Rue Boykin, Braxton Garrett, and Kadynce Garrett, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Norman D. and Mattie Wilson, brothers Norman E. Wilson, Reginald E. Wilson and Ralph J. Wilson. The family request memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Pallbearers will be Clayton Pool, Pete Lucovich, Jackie Wilson, Dennis Wilson, David Bailey and Rayford Temple.
