William Hamrick "Billy" Entrekin, Sr. Services for William Hamrick "Billy" Entrekin, Sr. will be held Monday, August 16, 2010 at 11:00 am at Central United Methodist Church, with Reverend Dr. Bob Rambo officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Mr. Entrekin, age 92, of Meridian, Mississippi died Friday, August 13, 2010, at the Fisher House. Survivors include daughter, Barbara Hough and her husband Jere of Mobile, Alabama; son William H. "Rick" Entrekin, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Meridian, Paul Entrekin and his wife Diane of Meridian. Grandchildren Bill Hough, Paul Hough and his wife, Denise, Matt Hough and his wife Julie, Sean Entrekin, Julie Entrekin, Eric Entrekin and wife Allison, Angela Maxwell and husband Scott, Elizabeth McKenzie and husband Rob, Emily Entrekin. Eight great grandchildren. Sister Louise Rotenberry of Madison, Mississippi, brother Reverend Roderick Entrekin and wife Ginny of Hattiesburg and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara J. Entrekin, and parents W.T. "Bob" and Lucille Entrekin. Mr. Entrekin was a lifetime member of Central United Methodist Church, and a World War II veteran, and a long time partner of F.W. Williams State Agency. He was past President of the MCC Foundation and co founder and past President of the Meridian Symphony Orchestra. He was instrumental in the acquisition of the Marks Rothenburg Building and Opera House and its donation to the Meridian Historical Foundation. He was a long time supporter of numerous educational institutions and also active supporter of Meridian and other community activities. Pallbearers will be Rob McKenzie, Eric Entrekin, Scott Maxwell, Charles Curtis, Martin McGee and David Entrekin. The family requests memorials be made to Central Methodist Church Memorial Fund Family and friends may sign online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com. Visitation will be held Monday 10-11 @ Central United Methodist Church.
