William Mark Martin

Private graveside services for Mr. William Mark Martin will be held at a later date. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Martin, age 68, of Meridian passed away on January 8, 2026 at his residence.

After graduating from Meridian High School, Mark attended the University of Mississippi. Following graduation from Ole Miss, he returned to Meridian and began a career in banking. He worked at several local banks and later attended the LSU Graduate School of Banking. During his banking career, he was active in various civic organizations including the Meridian Jaycees.

After leaving the banking industry, Mark began a second career buying and selling antiques and collectibles, a passion instilled in him by his father. In his spare time Mark enjoyed reading and absorbing new knowledge. He is remembered as frequently reading several books at once. He was a member of the Church of the Way where he faithfully attended.

He is survived by his sons, Dr. Brock Martin (Melissa) and Alex Martin (Blakely); grandchildren, Ferris Martin and Maci Manning; sister, Jo Ellen Martin; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Martin and Frances Joan Barber Martin Bartlett.

The family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Martin be made to Church of the Way at 7387 State Boulevard Extension, Meridian, MS 39305.
