William David Sessums, Sr

Services for William David Sessums, Sr. will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11:00am at Pine Forest Baptist Church, with Dave Sessums, Jr. and Jonathan Poe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sessums, 72, of Collinsville passed away at his home, Saturday, May 20, 2017.

David was a strong Christian and served as Deacon at Pine Forest Baptist Church. He was also a Veteran of the U S Marines. David worked for G M & O and I C G Railroads for 20 years, he then operated David’s Signs for 24 years.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Alawine Sessums of Collinsville, a daughter, Jennifer Sessums Stockman and her husband, Casey of Collinsville, Son, William David “Dave” Sessums, Jr., and his wife, Tammy of Moundsville, WV.  Grandchildren, Jonathan Poe, Collinsville, Haley Sessums, Taylor Sessums, and Nick Sessums all of Moundsville, WV and his Mother, Irene Sessums of the Obadiah Community.

David is preceded in death by his Father, William M. Sessums and an Infant sister, Glenda Sue Sessums.

The family request memorials be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or Andersons Cancer Center Benevolence Fund.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Pine Forest Baptist Church.
