A celebration of life for Mr. William Clare "Skip" Tucker will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at First Baptist Church Marion with Rev. Dusty Webb officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:15 p.m. prior to the celebration of life. Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Newton, MS. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Lovingly known as Skip, Mr. Tucker left his earthly home on Thursday, July 31, 2025, in Clinton, Mississippi.
Skip was born on February 26, 1950, in West, MS to James Franklin "Leck" Tucker and Rosamond Autry Tucker. He was a graduate of Durant High School, a machinist by trade, and a Mason. Skip worked for a variety of shops all over the south. His greatest loves were his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, music, and stories about his family. On July 10, 1976, he married Barbara Gipson, they began their life together and had two daughters, Stephanie Ann and Andrea Nell. Skip's family was his greatest joy and love in this life. Skip's infectious smile and laugh will be remembered by all who knew him.
Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his parents, Leck and Rosamond Tucker; and his brothers, Jim and Bob Tucker.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Stephanie Riley (Mark), Andrea Sledge (Haley); his grandchildren, Logan Tucker (Kristen), Zac Morgan, Dalton Riley, Cole Morgan (Caroline), Draik Morgan (Morgan); his great-grandchildren, Kaleb Tucker, Jackson Tucker, Madison Dean, and Rylan Tucker Morgan; his sister-in-law, Nancy Tucker; and his niece, Lori Chapman.
Pallbearers will be Logan Tucker, Zac Morgan, Cole Morgan, Draik Morgan, Kaleb Tucker, Haley Sledge, and Heath Depriest.
Memorial donations may be made in Skip's honor to First Baptist Church of Marion, MS.
